Brief: Family of 4. The clients are both professionals with well-established careers who also work from home a few days a week. They enjoy traveling, entertaining, cooking and the outdoors. Children, a boy and a girl, both in their teens with busy social and sporting calendars.

The client requests that the space is both functional and comfortable for a family of four: it needs to be suitable for a family environment, hard wearing, practical, easy to clean and maintain.

Even though they have no specific style preferences, they want a large larder unit included in the design.

The house is in a new development, it is currently under construction. The kitchen is the only area in scope for the project, no structural changes.
